Quona has over 47 active portfolio companies and $4.3 billion equity raised and needed to elevate their brand identity to match their growth and stature. The branding and communications project for Quona included brand strategy, positioning and messaging, along with a new website, newsletters, social media assets and additional brand applications.

The 8PTS team implemented a full rebrand recognizing the need to reflect a more confident, authentic, future-forward and tech-forward vision for the firm. The previous brand utilized soft greens and yellows, a complicated logo and clichéd imagery that presented Quona as detached and vaguely product-oriented. Quona needed to distinguish itself from a growing crowd of impact-focused firms and lead with the confidence and authenticity stemming from their deeper legacy in the impact space. The new brand leans into the team’s deep pioneering experience with impact and authentic global reach (the Quona team speaks a combined 16+ languages, including “fintech”).

8PTS devised a confident new tagline, “Fueling global fintech.” that signals Quona’s drive to empower financial inclusion across the world. The new Quona logo sports a bold, modern, customized “Q” that appears open and in the process of being drawn. The logo, along with new custom city skyline art, symbolizes Quona’s focus on constructing inclusive fintech frameworks for future growth in emerging markets.

The new primary color palette consists of a hip, contemporary green and bright light blue combined with warm grays that portray Quona as forward-looking, optimistic and grounded. Confident, documentary style photography features diverse entrepreneurs embracing mobile technology as it ushers them into the future. Founder photography has been curated to appear strong, warm and candid. Custom photographic backgrounds reflect specific global locations in emerging markets and support the idea of “Fueling global fintech” embodied in the new tagline. The new brand has helped Quona position itself as an authentic, inclusive leader in the impact investing and fintech space.
